Community Playgroup (0 - 5 years)

This is an opportunity for your little one(s) to play and socialize. Free play will be followed by activities such as crafts, circle time and ride on toys. This playgroup has traditionally been a very popular place for those in the neighborhood to meet, have a coffee, and chat. Kids love the different toys, the social interaction and the activities. Parents/caregivers enjoy the chance to connect with neighbours. Activities are organized by the program coordinator, parents and caregivers are asked to assist.

"Splash and Play" Playgroup (0 - 5 years) NEW!

Playgroup fun and games as well as water play in the splash pad.

Cooperative Playgroup (0 – 3 years)

Parents and caregivers organize the activities in this playgroup, toys, craft materials and coffee provided. The kids will be able to explore wonderful new toys while you enjoy getting to know your neighbours – it’s good for you and good for them! This is a casual setting and priced for flexibility, please feel free to come and go as you please and as suits your schedule.

Parent Time (0 – 3 years)

A get together for parents who are home on parental/maternity leave - baby can come too, and the coffee will be on! Get to know other new parents in the neighbourhood.

A bilingual program of rhymes, songs and games. Activities organized by a coordinator.

Hush-a-Bye Babies® (1 - 12 months)

Participate with your baby in an interactive and fun program that focuses on teaching parents the traditions of oral language games and songs. Experience the power and pleasure of knowing a pocket full of rhymes and songs that you can do anywhere and anytime.
Learn how to use rhymes and songs effectively as a parenting tool to calm, distract and engage your baby during challenging times. The tools taught now will be with you forever to use and develop as your child grows from a baby into toddler hood.
Develop a lovely collection of songs for dancing and singing together. Enjoy a repertoire of lullabies to cuddle and comfort your baby.
Discover the delight and magic that comes from sharing rhymes and songs with your baby. Refreshments included.

Instructor: Alice Davidson has worked for 25 years with parents and their children. Over the years she has worked in a variety of roles in nursery schools, playgroups and community agencies. Most recently she coordinated and facilitated the Ottawa Parent Child Mother Goose Program. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Hush-a-Bye Babies program. Alice is married, a mother of three adult children and a proud grandmother of two precious granddaughters.

Sport Camp

Soccer in the Park (3 – 6 years)

Each week starts with a fun warm up with our enthusiastic instructors; moves on to some age appropriate drills, and finish up with a fun game. The emphasis is always on fun and participation. Our aim is to provide your child with a fun and positive early soccer experience that fosters the joy of playing for many years to come!
A supervisory adult is required to stay in the park. Parents participation welcome but not compulsory.
