Main Street north of Clegg has re-opened to two way traffic and what better time to SHOP MAIN STREET!

In conjunction with SHOP MAIN STREET:

CAG invites you to walk down the Grande Allee from Main Street and visit the Deschatelets building. CAG will be hosting a second-hand furniture sale with lots of great bargains to be scooped up! Solid wood bookshelves, chairs, desks and much, much more... The furniture was previously used by the priests who lived in the Deschatelet building up until this summer and has been donated by the Regional Group to CAG for a fundraising sale. Anyone who remembers the Saint Paul University Sales of years gone by will know this will be popular!

Sales are cash only. Purchaser must remove item same day, before 2:00 p.m. All sales are final, items priced from $5 and up. Parking on the Grand Allee and surrounding area. "Pick-up only" parking located at the top of Grand Allee, next to the gym. All proceeds support CAG programs and events.

The Main Event - Garage Sale

8:00 a.m. - noon, throughout Old Ottawa East
Time to sort out that basement? Start to plan your sale now! Sale is advertised in the Ottawa Citizen, on Kijiji and through social media. Signs are put up along Main Street and Lees, participants are recommended to put up signs from these streets to their own sale. Sale runs throughout Old Ottawa East, from Rideau Gardens Drive to Greenfield Avenue (including Kings Landing) and from Echo Drive to the Rideau River. Residents are welcome to participate on their own premises and businesses are invited to set up sidewalk sales.
Calvary Baptist Church is offering the use of a table on its property at 107 Main St. (corner of Main and Evelyn). To reserve a table at Calvary, please call Bob McRoberts at 613-733-5912 at any time and leave a message with your name, phone number, and the size of table you require (6- or 12-foot). You will receive a call to confirm your booking. Tables are offered on a first-booking basis.

The Main Event - Market Sale

A market sale will run once again alongside the Main Event Community Party. We will welcome participation from artists, crafters and food vendors, - anything that would be part of a regular farmers market.
The Main Event is the biggest party of the year in the growing community of Old Ottawa East. The event offers something for everyone - bouncy castle, obstacle course, wagon ride, visits from Ottawa firefighters and police, live music, a community barbecue, food trucks and a wide variety of market vendors. Typically we have attendance in the region of 500 people during the course of the event, participating in activities and just having a great time!
Price per table: $25, pre-registration required.

Brantwood BBQ and Picnic

Thursdays from mid-May to the end of July

Come and enjoy the best of the season in the park with friends and neighbours. Bring a picnic from home or purchase supper from the BBQ; hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie dogs and drinks will be available to purchase. Food and drink sales support community programs and events.
